Crystal Headband | EDIT

Crystals, sparkles, shiny things on a headband. The modern version of a crown. Or a tiara. And what better day to feel regal than on your wedding day? Rosie Tupper gets the bridal treatment in the first ever Wedding issue of Elle UK, photographed by David Vasiljevic (see the rest of the photos, here). Now I'd rather a big 'ol crown than a simpering tiara, myself, on any given day. But, all right, maybe the Miss America look isn't ideal for the bride. (Save it for the bachelorette party!)

A big 'ol sparkly headband on the other hand? Break up the monotony of bridal white with some colored jewels. If not for the wedding ceremony, then the reception. Rosie wears a gorgeous crystal and metallic headband from Dolce & Gabbana, which I've yet to find available online. Here's a similar headband (without the slip tie), also from Dolce & Gabbana (available at net-a-porter):

DOLCE & GABBANA Gold-Plated Swarovski Crystal Headband $1,625
DOLCE & GABBANA Citrus Headband $1,620 -- metal orange blossom accents and crystals on a white satin headband.
DOLCE & GABBANA Crystal-Embellished Headband $820 -- pink crystals, gold headband.
DEEPA GURNANI Alternating Crystal Linear Headwrap $100 -- alternating crystals in shades of earthy taupe with metallic thread.
MARNI Crystal and Leather Embellished Grosgrain Headband $530 -- alternating light green crystals.
